They came, they're here

It was Sunday night and the cat watched as Cyber-X wore his party clothes preparing for another night's work. It's been a busy week. DJ Cyber-X, a rapper Nok who became famous in New York, got a commendation from mayor Bloomberg for "Service to the community". The human community, that is.The human community, that is. Cyber-X performed in the best parties all over town and owned his own club in the East Village called RockNok, a tribute to his heritage.

He got the cat from his X girlfriend. He dumped the girlfriend a long time ago but kept the cat. It didn't require as much love and attention as women.

"Another night, another party" he thought to himself as he prepared his CD case for the evening. He thought of going for a Techno - Acid style tonight, but remembered that last time he played Acid the cops busted the party. He didn't want to go through that again. Cyber-X had more than 2,500 CD's that he kept in a locked cabinet. Hidden between the CD's in the bottom shelf were three CD's that had nothing to do with music. They were given to him by the Founding Father of the Noks. They were Green and Blue - the Nok symbol's colors. These CD's contained programs and codes he didn't understand. Before his father left the Mother Planet he took him aside and gave him the discs. "These discs contain special programs," his father said. "You must protect them with your life!" Cyber-X was only 15. He hid them among the dozens of CD's he had at the time. Even then he knew he'd be a DJ someday.

The cat meowed. "Are you hungry? I'll get you something to eat". Cyber-X was busy looking in the cabinet for a CD he bought last week. He pulled some CD's out of the cabinet and put them on the table, digging deeper for the one CD he was looking for. Among them on the table were the secret blue-green CD's. "Got it". He placed the last CD in his case and was about to put away the other CD's when the cat jumped up on the table and meowed again. "Alright, I'll get you your food". Cyber-X went to the kitchen leaving the CD's on the table.

The Cat sat on the table, staring at his owner's messy apartment. As the food was served, the cat jumped up and walked across the table in the direction of the smell. On his way, he stepped on the pile of CD's, knocking the top of the pile to the floor. The CD's fell in between the pages of last week's newspaper. The cat jumped off the table and landed on the newspaper. Walking towards his bowl, the cat flipped some pages that covered up the fallen CD's.

"Here you go, you spoiled cat," Cyber-X said, holding an open can of cat food. "Come to think of it, I'm a bit hungry too". Cyber-X looked in the mirror at the Nok symbol behind his ear. It's blue-green turned to a bright pink. Back in the kitchen Cyber-X mixed some powder from a paper bag into the green liquid he kept in the refrigerator and drank it. "That's better," he said, as the Symbol turned blue-green again.

Cyber-X returned the CD's on the table to the cabinet and closed the combination lock. Before he left he looked back at the apartment. It was a mess. Oh well, he'd clean it when he got back. He left the light on for the cat and locked the door behind him.

Half an hour later, as Cyber-X was looking for parking, the cat was awakened by a noise coming form the door. He expected to see his owner with another can of cat food. Instead, standing in the open door was a baby.
